DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will be rooted in the teachings of Sutra II.46: “sthira sukham asanam,” which translates as “the posture should be stable and comfortable.
Over the course of the weekend, we will work toghether to unpack this sutra and weave its profound insights into practice to seek a place where actions in each asana become an effortless extension of your innermost being.
Delve deep into Sutra 11.46 and integrate its profound insights into your practice, cultivating both stability and ease in asana, a central theme in the practice of Iyengar Yoga.
Friday will build an asana foundation. Through specific asanas and intentional breathwork, we will strive to achieve a balance between firmness and comfort, paving the way for a harmonious integration of body, mind, and spirit.
Moving into the weekend, Saturday and Sunday will offer an extensive exploration of asana categories, underscoring the quest for stability (sthira) and ease (sukha) in each posture. With Angie’s meticulous guidance and mindful practice, your understanding and embodiment of these essential yogic principles will gradually deepen.
