Let’s go deeper
I found yoga in 1996.
After taking one class, I felt more at ease in my body; my anxiety didn’t eat me alive and the ruminating voice inside my head lessened. My body felt relief. So I kept practicing.
As I kept practicing, I grew curious about the roots of yoga: Iyengar. I took my first Iyengar class in 2005, and it wasn’t long until I became a certified Iyengar teacher at the Intermediate level.
Wanting to learn more from the source of the practice, I traveled to India, studying the Iyengar method and experiencing Indian culture.
Throughout my life, yoga has been my one constant.
I’ve learned that yoga isn’t confined to the studio. It is a continuous discipline with something new to discover each and every day. Yoga has gotten my body and mind through all of life’s phases—the easy ones and the jaw-clenching, bone-rattling ones.
Whether you found yoga for healing, fitness, or you just stumbled across the studio and thought it looked interesting, I’m so happy you are here.
I can’t wait to see you in class, my friend.

What Yoga Gives You
“It has taken me a long time to get to the point of realizing that this method of yoga is not just another type of yoga, it is a discipline that must be tended to everyday.
As my brain and body continue to experiment with the philosophy and the physical practices of yoga, I am learning that, when tended to, we can see a little glimpse of what we are capable of: more compassion, kindness, and love.”
